Forest Bitter Melon is wild plant growing in the sparse forests of the Southeast and brought to the delta by Ms Nguyễn Thị Kim Thoa – the food technology engineer. After 5 years of the testing, Forest Bitter Melon had planted in many regions of the Mekong Delta with organic method.
The owners plant Forest Bitter Melon at the Tam Bình Dictrict – Vĩnh Long city, they both own and work. This is a new form of agriculture with many promises.
TNB Vietnam JSC will expand The Forest Bitter Melon growing area to 50-70ha in the Mekong Delta to meet the domestic market and export. Now, the material area of the company has reached 10 hectares, concentrated in Can Tho City and Soc Trang Province, Hau Giang Vinh Long. The expansion of the planted area through the forest will help farmers increase their incomes and improve their livelihoods.
